Thursday, I was driving back to work on my lunch break and was rear-ended. I want to say thank you to everyone who was there for me afterwards.
I know it's their job, but the 911 operator was calming and instructed me what to do to stay safe on the road with all of the traffic.
The police officer came and got us moving quickly. She was very pleasant.
I got back to work and called my doctor's office to make an appointment. This is where I do not typically have good luck with customer service. This woman was so nice. She could tell I was upset. She told me a story about how she got into an accident once and had her two kids in the car. She said, "I didn't even call my husband. I called my dad." She said, "I just wanted my dad." I related to this so much. I have no doubt, I, too, would call my dad even if I did have a significant other. She made me laugh.
My insurance agent's office was pleasant to speak with too.
When I arrived at the orthopedic walk-in clinic, the woman behind the counter asked why I was there. I told her I had been in an accident. I handed her my driver's license and insurance card. She asked if it had just happened because I was shaking. She said they have been seeing a lot of accidents lately. She said people are always in hurry and she can't imagine ever being in that much of a rush to not pay attending.
Being kind is not always easy these days. Especially with everything healthcare workers are having to cope with.
Thank you to everyone!
