Finally, good news!

I started working for my current boss on December 29, 2010. When I was hired, it was on a temporary basis. He does not offer insurance so I had no intention of sticking around. Now it's 2017 and I'm still here. Over the course of the last 6.5 years, I have applied to multiple places and have had several interviews. I can only recall two jobs that I really wanted over the last 6.5 years. Today, I went back through my "Job" folder saved in my email and I have 202 emails from December 2010 until the present. I was going to go through and see how many jobs I applied for, how many rejections I got without an interview, and how many interviews I went on. I just don't have that kind of time though. It's really not important. What is important is that I went on my last interview a week ago today. I had an interview at a law firm at 8:00 a.m., left at 8:45 a.m., and was hired at 11:30 a.m. Needless to say, when I got the offer letter, I sat in my car and cried. The money is not much more than what I am making now. However, I will have health benefits for the first time since 2009. I will also have an assistant and my own office. This job also required that I have a bachelor's degree. For the first time since graduating college 16 years ago, getting my bachelor's degree finally paid off.

I am so ready to embark on this new journey. Wish me luck!!
