While I appreciate the honesty of what some of these guys have told me, I just want to say to them "why are you dating? You're in no position to be dating." I was having a conversation with a guy who said that he was laid-off. OK, that's fine. That's life. That happens to all kinds of people. But, when you're dating, and unfortunately for the guys, you are the one that should at least be paying for the first date. How can you pay when you're not working?
Over the course of the years that I've been dating, it's always been a joke that I needed to find a guy with a car because that seems to be rare these days. I'm finding now that hell that would be a luxury. There are so many people driving around without driver's license which means they're also driving around without insurance. It just blows my mind.
I've also found out lately from guys, friends, and clients of mine that filing taxes is also something people don't do. Don't get me wrong, I know there are people out there that don't do these things. I'm not naive. I just didn't think I would need to add that to my what is becoming a laundry list of things I want in a man. i.e. a. files taxes; b. has car insurance; c. has a driver's license; d. has a car.
It's just silly to me.
