First Day of 2018

As I sit here on the couch for literally the fourth day in a row (I'm sick), I reflect on 2017.

My new job I started in August is still going great. I am learning a lot and staying busier than I have ever been. I really enjoy the people I work with. I don't remember ever laughing this much at my previous job.  We've had a cookout, monthly breakfasts, and our Christmas party which have all been a lot of fun. I recently got a good review along with a raise and a bonus. I honestly couldn't be happier where I am at.

I'd say my most memorable moment of 2017 was when I went to St. Joseph, Michigan. I think about it often and cannot wait to go back this spring/summer.

I am still boxing, which I love. I was hitting the gym pretty much every night after work and some weekends. However, I had some esophageal problems which caused me to miss a few weeks and I lost motivation. I am having an endoscopy done in two weeks to see what's going on. I definitely want to get my motivation back and get back into the gym at least 3-4 nights a week. Going is the hardest part, right?

I am looking forward to 2018. It's exciting to think what can happen in 365 days. It's also scary to think what can happen in 365 days. I can't help but to pray this will be the year I find love. I used to pray this will be the year I find a new job. I can check that off my list. I worry about the state of our country, but have to remember there are good people out there.

Here's to a happy 2018!!
